Grobner Bases and Cohomology

Abstract:
After a brief introduction to the paradigms of algebraic topology, we
consider the deRham cohomology of hypersurfaces in $\RP^n$.  Using the
method of Griffith-Dwork, we compute the Picard-Fuchs differential
equation for several projectivized elliptic curves.
