Thermodynamic formalism and large deviation estimates for non-uniformly expanding maps

We will see how to obtain a large deviation bound for non-uniformly expanding transformations, starting from a detailed discussion of the uniformly expanding case. I will give more details about the specific covering and choice of sequences of measures to apply a technique from the so called "Thermodynamical Formalism" in order to obtain a bound for the rate of large deviations.
