Strictly Ergodic Subshifts and Associated Operators

      We discuss some aspects of the general theory that 
has been developed over the past two decades in an attempt 
to understand phenomena arising in the context of the 
Fibonacci Hamiltonian and, more generally, one-dimensional 
quasi-crystalline structures
