Tony Varilly-Alvaredo (Rice) in HB 227- I will discuss the arithmetic of del Pezzo surfaces of degree 1 over a number field k that are of the form w^2 = z^3 + Ax^6 + By^6 in the weighted projective space P(1,1,2,3), where A, B are elements of k^*. Among other things, I will explain how to find explicit counterexamples to weak approximation via Brauer-Manin obstructions among minimal surfaces of this type.
