About the Conference

Singular objects and regularity theory for potentially singular objects have played and continue to play an essential role in all areas of geometry, topology, and analysis.

The works of F. Reese Harvey and John C. Polking, both jointly and separately, involving the analysis and structure of singularities have ranged widely over all three of these areas.

This conference will discuss issues related to their works over the last 30 years.

The conference will begin mid-afternoon Friday with a short introductory workshop suitable for students and non-experts and will continue with plenary lectures early Friday evening through Sunday morning.

It is supported by the National Science Foundation (DMS-0506207) and Rice University. Participation by students, young researchers and under-represented minorities is strongly encouraged.
