Subject to budgetary approval, Rice expects to have one position for a Griffith Conrad Evans Instructorship and two positions for a VIGRE Lovett Instructorship beginning in the Fall of 2012. These positions are two to three year appointments and are open to promising research mathematicians with research interests in common with the active research areas at Rice; particularly, algebraic geometry, analysis, combinatorics, differential geometry, ergodic theory, geometric analysis, geometric topology, and mathematical physics. Duties will include research and classroom teaching. Candidates must have received their Ph.D. degree no earlier than the Fall of 2010.
